CAUTION:

• EYE IRRITANT READ PRECAUTIONS.
• PRECAUTIONS:
   - Contains salt and surfactants.
   - May irritate eyes or skin.
   - Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing.
• FIRST AID:
   - If swallowed, call Poison Control or doctor immediately.
   - Do not induce vomiting.
   - If in eyes or on skin, rinse with water for 15 minutes.
   - Keep out of reach of children.
• PLEASE NOTE:
   - Color results vary by fabric type, amount of dye used, water temperature and time in dye bath.
   - Not recommended for synthetic fibers (fabrics containing more than 35% polyester, acrylic or acetate).
   - Instead, use Rit® DyeMore Synthetic Fiber Dye.
   - Not recommended for fabrics with a rubber backing or labeled Cold Water Wash or Dry Clean Only.
   - May not be effective on bleach damaged fabrics.
   - If in doubt, test dye a swatch first.
   - Package color reflects approximate results when dyeing white or off-white 100% cotton.

DIRECTIONS:

• PREPARATION:
   - Pre-wash fabric to remove any finishes or stains.
   - For every pound of dry fabric (i.e. 2 adult large t-shirts), use 1/2 bottle (4 ozs.) of dye with 3 gallons of the hottest water safe for fabric.
   - Dye bath must have enough water for fabric to move freely.
   - To achieve a darker or more intense color, double dye quantity If dyeing to lighter or different color, use Rit® Color Remover before dyeing to reduce existing color in most fabrics.
   - Do not use bleach to remove color.
• DIRECTIONS:
   1. Shake well before using.
   2. Wear rubber gloves.
   3. Add HOT water to plastic bucket, stainless steel sink or stainless steel pot.
   4. Ideally, water temperature should be 140°F or greater.
   5. Add 1 teaspoon of liquid dish detergent.
   6. For best results, add 1 cup of salt to dye bath for cotton, rayon, or linen.
   7. Add 1 cup of vinegar to dye bath for nylon, silk or wool.
   8. Add dye. Mix well.
   9. Submerge unfolded wet fabric into dye bath.
   10. Stir consistently for 30 minutes or until desired color is achieved (up to 60 min.). Fabric will look darker when wet and prior to washing.
   12. Rinse with cool water until rinse water begins to run clear.
   13. Wash in warm water with milk detergent by hand or in your washing machine with an old towel.
   14. Use Rit® ColorStay Dye Fixative immediately after dyeing cotton, linen, rayon or raime to maximize color retention.
• TIPS:
   - Dyeing in a washing machine is the most convenient method for dyeing large items.
   - Can be used in top-loader, front-loader or HE machines.

   - Stovetop method is suggested when dyeing nylon.
